The Authors

Lindsey Biel, M.A., OTR/L (on left in photo) is an occupational therapist specializing in pediatrics. Formerly an occupational therapist for the NYC Department of Education, she has worked with children in elementary, middle, and high schools with diagnoses including SI dysfunction, physical disabilities, learning disorders, autism, and emotional disturbance. She currently works with infants and toddlers through New York State's Early Intervention program as well as with older school-age children in her private practice.

Nancy Peske (on right in photo) is the co-author of the highly successful Cinematherapy series (over 270,000 copies sold in all editions, television rights sold to Women's Entertainment). Formerly an editor in the trade division at HarperCollins Publishers, Peske has also ghostwritten, book doctored, and edited many successful and bestselling nonfiction books in the fields of health, psychology, spirituality, and inspiration. She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband and her son who has sensory integration dysfunction and several accompanying developmental delays.

Temple Grandin, who wrote the foreword, is Associate Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University and is a person with autism. She is the author of Thinking in Pictures. You can find out more about Dr. Grandin at her website.
